Seeing God as the Bridegroom

I used to have a major problem with the ideology of seeing Christ as my Bridegroom, because of the fact I am a male and seeing a man as a marriage partner is foreign to me. I was viewing the reality with a sense of perverse eyes instead of looking at it with spiritual eyes. The world has distorted the way that I was to view Christ as my spiritual mate through perverted lifestyles of homosexuality. I could see Him as a Father, Friend, and Helper but this whole Bridegroom idea through me aloof. Job 36:26 says, "Behold God is great, and we do not know Him." When you break down the word know in the Word it means to know sexually or intimately. Since we have such negative connotation with the word intimate we pervert it to think that it is a sexual relationship with God. The scripture is stating that God is great, and we do not know Him in a place of intimacy. When I read this there was a shift in my spirit that gave me a different perspective on the Bride groom reality. In relationships on the earth we begin to allow ourselves to get to expose ourselves intimately to others the closer we get to them. We let them know how we are feeling, our thoughts, and there begins to develop a trust between the two. You in a sense surrender yourself and tear down the walls of protection to allow that person to get in deeper parts of your heart. Viewing Christ as the Bridegroom is surrendering yourself to allow Him to have access to the deeper parts of your spirit, mind, and body. He exposed Himself on the cross with His heart in full surrender, because He loved us that much. He knew He could not have His perfect Bride unless He were to surrender and expose His heart and life first. I began to wonder how could I not allow myself to be in full surrender and exposure to someone that loved me so much that He died for me, and bore His inner self for all to see before I even existed. No person is ever going to love me as much as He does, or burn with a passion for me as much as He does. When I gained that reality the Word began to open up to me in a whole different perspective. Almost everything I read became coherent with the fact that we are to be Brides of Christ.

First off I need to explain how much Christ truly desires to be with His Bride. Please anywhere you see a she think of yourself as the Bride of Christ, and anytime it speak of him or a man think of it as Christ the Bridegroom.

Genesis 2:18

18 And the Lord God said, "It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him."

In this scripture I gained a metaphor that Adam was Jesus and Eve was us as the body of Christ. God knew that even before man fell that it was not good that Jesus was alone, and that He needed a companion. God made us to be a lover of Christ, and a helper that is comparable to Him.  We are to conform ourselves in our spirit to be just as Christ is. Once we allow this perfect union to take ahold of our spirit we began to shine and act as Christ does. I believe that John the Baptist was comparable to Christ even before Christ died for our sins. He was the first man to talk about the bridegroom reality, and was named by Jesus ,”The greatest man ever born of a woman”.

John 17:24

24 "Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You have given Me; for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.

This is Jesus talking and is asking God to take us (The Bride) with Jesus wherever He goes. Jesus wants us to be in the same glory that was bestowed upon Him by His Father. He desires to give us so much love, and to abound in us so much power.

Matthew 19:4-6

4 "Have you not read that He who made them at the beginning 'made them male and female,'
5 and said, 'For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh'?
6 So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate."

This is such a great picture of the bridegroom reality. God created Jesus which is considered the groom and a woman whom is considered the bride. Jesus will leave heaven where the Father is and come down to earth to be joined with His wife (us), and we shall be of one flesh. We also as the bride of Christ need to leave our “baby” Christian mentalities behind and be joined solely with Christ. Once we decide to lay it all down and throw caution to the wind to violently seek Him a marriage will take place. We are then created as one flesh with Him as we walk out our lives here on earth. We as brides do not have to deal with this world alone, but can be joined by the One that sits at the right hand of His throne. We are to have a heavenly marriage with Jesus as one flesh. Jesus died and shed His blood for us, because we were worth living for, and all He wants in return is a loving marriage relationship with Him Selah (Meditate on that). Lord I pray that you open the eyes of my understanding to be able to become one flesh with You, so that I am fully prepared to be Your perfect bride.

Song of Solomon 3:1-4

3 By night on my bed I sought the one I love; I sought him, but I did not find him.
2 "I will rise now," I said, "And go about the city; In the streets and in the squares I will seek the one I love." I sought him, but I did not find him.
3 The watchmen who go about the city found me; I said, "Have you seen the one I love?"
4 Scarcely had I passed by them, When I found the one I love. I held him and would not let him go, Until I had brought him to the house of my mother, And into the chamber of her who conceived me.
At night she sought for Him in the secret place. She was upset that she could not find Him when she searched. We are to search for the Bridegroom as she does her lover.  At times we seek for things at night, and this usually gets us in the most trouble. I know that in the night time was when I used to get caught up the most in sin, and it is still the time that I have a tendency to be susceptible to sin. I believe this happens, because during the nighttime my guard is down, and my focus seems to wander a bit more. Since she (Us as the Bride of Christ) could not find her love she went into the world to find satisfaction from her lack of intimacy with Him. She is going to look in all the wrong places for the intimacy that she longs for with flesh instead of with God. God put that search of intimacy within our hearts, so that we will search for Him and not man. I for a time went to go search out the world to find something that would satisfy the urges that were empty, because of my lack of intimacy with God. If we are not careful and do not stay in a constant place of intimacy with God, we are liable to go search for to fill the void elsewhere. It is not as though God is not there wanting to fill you with His love, it is the fact that we are nullifying that pursuit by ignoring His passion for us.

Watchmen-Circumspect- potential consequences

Found me-Took hold of

The consequences of her search took hold of her. Since she had wandered away from the bed room (place of intimacy) she faced consequences of being alone. I realized that staying in the secret place, the intimate place is the answer to the feeling of being lonely. He is always there for us if we search for Him, and His burning passion for us is more than we can even being to comprehend. He wants to do everything with us in unity. After she had gone a little further in the world she found the Bridegroom. She then proceeded to take Him back into the place of intimacy. After she had wandered enough straying from the intimate place with God she found the Bridegroom waiting for her, and took Him straight to the secret place. She brought Him back to the place where she was first conceived in love for Him. I believe that she brought Him back to the place where she was a newborn Christian in a love place with Him. She brought Him to a new fresh love place like when she met Him the first time. If we ever begin to falter a bit we need to take Him back to the place of First love.

Romans 8:35

35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
Nothing will keep us from the love of God, because no matter what we do He will find us. In the last blog I talked about how the prodigal son left, but had the tugging on his heart to come back home. We can never leave His presence for long. No trial should separate us from the place of intimacy with Him. Think about everything that Paul went through as he lived for Christ. He was jailed most of his Christian walk. John the Baptist lived in the desert fasting all his life, and in the end got beheaded for it. Stephan in Acts 7 was getting stoned and still looked up to the heavens asking God “Do not charge them with this sin.” Stephan was pleading for mercy for the very people that were killing him. Christ as well was persecuted and later brutally murdered, because of His love for us and the Father. We get all ticked off and walk away from God because somebody offended us, or the money did not come fast enough.  We need to get out of our petty ways, and understand every problem we have in our life is solved when we get I perfect unity with our Bridegroom.

We as a Bride’s of Christ are living a lifestyle of harlotry. We are cheating on our Bridegroom by wasting our time on good things of this world, and not great and power things with God. We watch television to keep us entertained while the whole time God is waiting for us to be entertained with Him. His beauty and mysterious things should be enough to entertain us for a lifetime. When you are in love you do not need to do anything else to be entertained except to be in the person’s presence, and to commune with them.

Hosea 1:2

2 When the Lord began to speak by Hosea, the Lord said to Hosea: "Go, take yourself a wife of harlotry And children of harlotry, For the land has committed great harlotry By departing from the Lord."

We have lost our view of who we are in Christ which has led us into selling ourselves to things of this world. I am just as guilty as anybody else getting caught in the whirlwind of life. We have so much going on around us in this hour to keep our senses distracted it is easy to lose track of God. He needs to be in our every thought, and there with us when we make every decision. One thing I have learned about relationships through my parents is that they make decisions together, and that is what we are supposed to do in our marriage with Christ.

Hosea 2:16-17

16 "And it shall be, in that day," Says the Lord, "That you will call Me 'My Husband,'  And no longer call Me 'My Master,'

If you do not believe that we are to be married to Christ look at verse 16. It says we will call Him My Husband and no longer My Master. We are to have a relationship with God as a marriage not as a slave ownership. He does not want us to feel like slaves, but as Wives to Him that love Him so much you will do anything for Him.

Hosea 2:19-20

19 "I will betroth you to Me forever; Yes, I will betroth you to Me In righteousness and justice, In lovingkindness and mercy;
20 I will betroth you to Me in faithfulness, And you shall know the Lord.

To betroth means to marry.  God is saying that He is going to marry us to Him forever, He is going to marry us in righteousness and justice, in lovingkindness and mercy, in faithfulness, and that we will KNOW the Lord. Remember that to know is to have sexual relations or intimacy with. He made a declaration that not only is He going to marry us forever but with that comes basically the fruit of the spirit (Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness, and self-control). I love at the end when He states that we will KNOW Him. I love that He is stating that He will have an intimate relationship with His Bride, and it is time that we have the longing to have an intimate relationship with Him as well.

Let us go back to our first love like it talks about in Hosea 2:7. Living astray from God is not worth the misery. We as society look for the counterpart that completes us when all the while He is here waiting for us. God put that longing for relationship in us, so that we can have that place of intimacy with Him. Now that I have gained the knowledge of Christ as my Bridegroom nothing can separate me from the understanding of His pursuit and love He has for me. He is a jealous God and longs to spend time with me. I can only boast of Him, because I am nothing without Him. I pray that this post and the rabbit trail explanations shed some light of a Bridegroom reality. The only true way to gain revelation of this is to search it out yourself, and to ask God to reveal Himself to you in a reality of a Bridegroom. Begin to look at scripture through the eyes of a Bride. Look at all the amazing gifts he has bought for us, and all the things He has done for us out of a place of love for His most precious Bride. I love you all and be blessed.

Spiritual Harlotry

I know the title of this post is a bit brash, but bear with me. The title is the only way for me to truly describe what the body of Christ is doing. We as the Bride of Christ are selling ourselves and our birthright for common pleasures of this world. We are grafted in to royalty as it states in Romans 11:16-18. If the first fruit which is Abraham is holy then so are we, but we give up our inheritance to fit in to normal society. We as saints do not fit in to society for a reason, and that reason is that we are supposed to be peculiar people. As I stated in my last post peculiar means to deviate from the norm. We need to stop trying to be accepted by conforming our ideologies to what is popular, and start to shift ourselves to becoming a prepared Bride of Christ.
One of the best examples of being a spiritual harlot is in the parable of the prodigal son. I have a very close connection with the parable not only, because of the contrasting story but also the fact it was the first thing I studied when I gave my life back to God.

Luke 15:12-13
12 And the younger of them said to his father, 'Father, give me the portion of goods that falls to me.' So he divided to them his livelihood.
13 And not many days after, the younger son gathered all together, journeyed to a far country, and there wasted his possessions with prodigal living.

12- First the young man asked for the inheritance from his Father, and his Father allotted him what was his inheritance. God has given each of us gifts, and an inheritance in this world. It is up to us what we do with these gifts.
13- Notice that it says that the son journeyed to a far country. The son left his Father, and traveled as far as he could from him, and wasted the inheritance that was given to him.
Prodigal broken down in the Greek and Hebrew means profligacy.
Profligacy- Unrestrained indulgence in sensual pleasure
We are wasting away the inheritance that was given to us to indulge our senses for pleasures of this world. We dull our senses by the secular music we listen to, the television we watch (with perversion riddled throughout it), the movies that we think are more exciting the the Word, and the lust of our flesh for material items or people (in a sexual manner). It is time to wake up and see that we are pissing away the gifts that God has given us. In a sense like Esau did we are selling our birthright for a mere bowl of soup. Let us stop selling ourselves short for who we really are, and that is sons, kings, friends, and brides of Christ. We are so unique, and are supposed to be living in the understanding of our unique beauty that was bestowed upon us. Too often do we allow ourselves to be fastened as a carbon cut copy of societal acceptance. As the prodigal son did we are doing. We are giving away and selling our inheritance to have sensual pleasure (Not just sexual but pleasure of our senses as well).

Luke 15:17-19
17 "But when he came to himself, he said, 'How many of my father's hired servants have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger!
18 I will arise and go to my father, and will say to him, "Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you,
19 and I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Make me like one of your hired servants."'

To catch you up on the verses I left out I will paraphrase. Basically he lost everything he had, started working for a man feeding pigs (Which was unclean to Jews), and not only did he have to feed the pigs, but he ate from their trough as well. This is a perfect example of how we get so consumed by things of this world we end up eating from the pigs trough. We allow our Spirit to eat from something that is unclean, and defile the purity that God has freely given us. Allow yourselves to eat of His food (The Word and His presence), and not of the pleasures of society.
17- He began to realize that man this life that I am leading is junk compared to how my Father treats His servants. Living without God long enough showed me that God took care of the people that served Him (They never lack), better than those that serve in the world. I like when it says when he came to himself, because it was like a light bulb when off in his head. That God had abundant bread for him to eat, and that there is increase in Christ.
18-19- This verse reminds me of Isaiah 60:1 Arise and shine for the glory is upon you. The prodigal son finally got the revelation that it was his time to arise and step into the inheritance that Father had given him. He decided that he was tired of being a servant of this world, and wanted to run back to the feet of Christ and serve Him. When I finally hit rock bottom I came to the realization that I could not do anything on my own, and that the lifestyle I led was counterproductive to what God had in store for me. Sitting in my room in San Antonio under the influence of a few pills and numerous beers I broke. I had just broke up with the girl I loved for God, and did not understand why I did it. That day I finally began to speak to God again, and to cry out for help. I was consumed by anger, hate, and rejection. Others may have thought I had it all together, but I was about to embark on a major journey back to the road of glory. The proceeding months I cut taking pills, but was drinking more heavily trying to dull the pain that was in my heart. Nothing seemed to satisfy the emptiness within. I later started going back to church, and there was a shift in my Spirit that began to heal my broken heart. I went to church smelling of alcohol, and the body there still embraced me. The pastor saw something in me for some reason, and began to speak life into me. When I moved back to Houston everything changed for the best. I partied hard one last time for my birthday before being asked to be an intern at Touched by Grace, and the rest is history.

Luke 15:20-24
20 "And he arose and came to his father. But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him.
21 And the son said to him, 'Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight, and am no longer worthy to be called your son.'
22 "But the father said to his servants, 'Bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet.
23 And bring the fatted calf here and kill it, and let us eat and be merry;
24 for this my son was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.' And they began to be merry.

Saw-with wide-open eyes, as at something remarkable
Fell-Seize or embrace more or less violently

20- When we are a great way off from the path back to righteousness the Father sees our hearts, and is moved with compassion and will run to us with embracing arms. He looks at us wide eyes, because we are remarkable and beautiful to Him no matter how far we drift from Him. When we stop selling our birthright and come back to Him he seizes us with violence and take us to an intimate place with Him (not perverted but holy).
21- When I came back to God I did not feel worthy to be called His son, and at times I still struggle with the realization that in spite of me I am still His son. It is the very reason of being called a son of God that makes me unique and uncommon.
22-
Robe-Stole (mark of dignity-The quality of being worthy of esteem or respect)
God wants to cloth us and give us esteem and respect. He clothes us in royalty and richness. Some of us have traded in our royal garments (God given talents and gifts) for nothing but waste of this world. Now that I am in God's will I feel like I am royalty, and that I lack nothing because I am a king. It says in His word that Christ is the King of Kings, which denotes that as a saint and believer of Christ I am a king. It took me my first year of internship to grasp that concept that I am of royal descent, and that I have the inheritance of Abraham.
23/24- The Father offers up a sacrifice for His son's return, and rejoices in it. Jesus is constantly interceding for us on His throne, and when we make the decision to serve Him and take back our inheritance all the heavens rejoice. They offer up sacrifices of praise and worship for the return of the prodigals. As we sell our birthrights for enjoyment for a moment and die (in our Spirit) to what God has for us, He intercedes (Romans 8:26). When we come to the realization of how fleeting feeding our flesh is, and decide to run back to our first love (Christ) He begins to rejoice.

Be encouraged that even though we have sold everything that God has given us by His grace He will give us back the inheritance that we wasted. Does this give us a reason to keep sinning because of grace? As Paul puts it in Romans 6:1-2 Certainly not! We are not to keep sinning and wasting away our inheritance for the known fact that He will give it back. We are to repent (True repentance is a change of heart and not wanting to do the same thing again), and learn from the experience that we went through. I went through so much in the seven or eight years I spent away from God. I learned that I cannot do it through my own strength, but through my weakness He gives strength (2 Corinthians 12:9). In the darkest hours of my life which were in the last six months I lived in San Antonio I found out that no matter how dark things get His light always shines through. I looked in many different places to find an absence in my heart, only to find that it was a relationship with Him that I was missing. No matter how high I got He was always tugging at my heart yearning for a relationship with me. Many of my friends at the time, and my ex-girlfriend can attest to the fact that I lived to be inebriated. I was so damaged, drug down, beaten, scarred, and lost that the only way to escape was through false sensual pleasures. A little bit was never enough. I always had to take everything I did over the edge, and my personality hasn't changed but my heart has. I do everything for God with the same amount of passion, and desire I did for the world. Remember that He loves us so much that He will anything to bring us back to a place of love and relationship with Him. There is nothing you can do to make Him hate you. There is nothing you can do that will make Him fall off the throne. He is the Alpha and Omega, the Lord of Lords, the King of Kings, and the only True Living God. Be blessed everyone I love each of you from the depths of my heart.

When I originally started to write this post I was going to touch on not only the story of the prodigal son, but on Gomer and Hosea, but God kind of took me a different rout. The next post will also touch on spiritual harlotry, but also the heart of Christ as the Bridegroom.

Radical Living

I have really been reflecting on how different my lifestyle is today than it was over a year ago. People have been telling me constantly that I am a completely different person, though I feel like I am so far from God's will for my life. I realize that I have undergone a radical change from where I was, but I still have the sense of not arriving to my destination. I do not believe I will ever truly arrive to what I believe to be my destination, because my pursuit of going deeper in Him will never stop. One thing that I have realized is that He already sees me as a finished product with no spot or blemish. He sees me through His eyes and not mans.

This reality of Him looking through His eyes at our heart, and seeing us perfected made me realize that I need to live more radically for Him. When I was in the world partying I radically lived a life of drugs, promiscuity, and alcoholism. I was always the person that had to get a little higher, or a little more drunk. If I was going to do something I had to give it all I had, and go to the extreme. The definition of radical means being far beyond the norm, and that was me in a nutshell. I had recently ran into some old friends I used to party with, and when I told them I was living my life for God they were taken aback. This person in the six years they had known me had only met me one time when I was sober, and it was on that very day we had gotten reacquainted. The thought of this left me bewildered in thought that if this was the way I was when I wasn't living for God what is holding me back from living a life full of His spirit. I want people to come up to me for the rest of my life from here on out to say to me, "I have never seen you without the glory of God on your face".

I am beginning to understand the meaning of radically living for Christ. I am going to allow myself to be susceptible to radical growth in my Spirit. This growth will lead to radical giving, prayer, fasting, studying, loving, healing, miracles and obedience to name a few. Out of a love place for God extreme living for Him becomes normal to yourself. It will not matter what others think of my lifestyle, because I have the knowledge and understanding of Him being the Bridegroom.
Ephesians 1:17-18
17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him,
18 the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,

When you gain wisdom, revelation, and knowledge of Him no material item, or social status matters. You begin to perceive life through His eyes (in the spirit) instead of your own (in the flesh). We as a culture are so stuck on being different, yet we join "Cliques" so to speak. This happens in schools, jobs, churches, and most forms of society. Each and every person has a different finger print scheme, and we are so uniquely made, but do not want others to think we are too far out of the box. I realize that at times I fall in this category of social conformity. It is not a fact to be so extreme just to prove a point to be different, but to be my own unique self not allowing others to influence me to be who I am not. It kind of blew me away when I looked up the word unique, because it had the word radical in it. To be unique is to be radically distinctive and without equal. In Christ I want to be far from the norm with distinctiveness, and without an equal. I want to allow myself to live the life I am supposed to live for God without any conformity to the way things are "Supposed" to be done. I have always carried myself a bit different than others, and in my early years suffered repercussions for it. Being ostracized from certain social groups had me shift to rebellion to be accepted. In His word it says rebellion is a form of witchcraft, which in turn is a step toward darkness. In Acts that they all sold their worldly possessions , and allotted them together as one for the whole group to use. This act of these people that were on fire for God to sell everything they owned, and put it in one common area is radical living for Christ. People are so consumed about the next toy they are going to get, and are so attached to things they miss God's call. I am not saying to sell everything you have and form a community, but to allow yourself to be so in tune with what God says that you will not think twice to detach yourself from possessions.

Needless to say some people believe I am already living a radical lifestyle by holding off on a career to go live in the woods as an unpaid intern for a ministry. I will say that this is an interesting decision to some, but an act of obedience for me. To see how God has plucked me out of my lifestyle of radical prodigal living to pouring out His favor and tender mercy on me is worth it. He as taken me as a broken and bitter person, and raised me up and transformed me into who I was meant to be. I am full of love because I have fervently sought Him. He has opened up heaven to me, because of my willingness to beat my body into submission for His calling on my life. There is nothing in this world that is worth even the most minuscule amount of His anointing on my life. I only hope that I can walk in love as Stephan did in Acts chapter 7.

Acts 7:57-60
57 Then they cried out with a loud voice, stopped their ears, and ran at him with one accord;
58 and they cast him out of the city and stoned him. And the witnesses laid down their clothes at the feet of a young man named Saul.
59 And they stoned Stephen as he was calling on God and saying, "Lord Jesus, receive my spirit."
60 Then he knelt down and cried out with a loud voice, "Lord, do not charge them with this sin." And when he had said this, he fell asleep.

I pray that I get to the place of love that when people are murdering me physically, spiritually, or verbally that I ask God to not charge them with the sin they are committing. I am not yet at this point, because I would be asking God to take them to hell. Stephen throughout chapter seven was wrongly accused, and told his accuser and judges that they resisted the Holy Spirit, and killed the Messiah. He stood up for what he believed in and boldly proclaimed the Truth. Even throughout all of that he asked God to forgive them. This is a story I will never forget, and I want to live as radically as he did (Side note-Jesus lived more radically for God than did anyone else in the Bible, but this is just a chapter that I am on as of now. I am by no means putting Stephan before Christ in who I want to be like).

I love y'all whom take the time to read this. I want to encourage you to take steps closer to God, and allow Him to work His will in your life. Remember that every trial in your life is something that God is using to teach you something. Allow the trial to have its perfect work in you (James 1:2-4)

Hebrews12:10
10 For they indeed for a few days chastened us as seemed best to them, but He for our profit, that we may be partakers of His holiness.
Chastened-Teach/Train up a child
Profit-Companionship/Union/Possession/Endure
Partakers-Participate/Eat/Receive

In order for us to become spiritually mature we need to be chastened by God to bring unity, companionship, and endurance, so that we may participate and receive His holiness (Secret Place).

God the Greatest Entertainer

I have been really gripped with the reality that God is the greatest entertainer that the world has ever seen. We as society feel the need to be entertained constantly throughout the day. We must keep busy or we will begin to become bored. We look to movies, television, Internet, video games, books, and applications to keep our mind stimulated. We stuff ourselves with too many good things, and not the great things that come with a relationship with God. The Bible (Which is the living word of God) is the greatest comedy, romance, action, science fact , and mystery book you could ever read. It is a book of promises, and realities. It is time for us to get out of a fantasy world of keep our mind stimulated on busy things, and focus on the greatest entertainer this world has ever known.

One of my favorite ministers, Corey Russell says, "Gods not boring, you're boring. The Bibles not boring, you're boring." He is one hundred percent correct on that matter. I used to be bored while reading the Bible until I began to realize the revelation that I got through it. When I asked Him to give me insight and revelation of His word it became entertainment to me. There is comedy stringing throughout the Bible with sarcasm of Paul, and an in your face style of James. The Bible is the greatest romance ever written John 3:16 For God so loved the world... He has such a love for us that He sent His son to die for us for cleanse of of our sins. Micah 7:18 states that His anger is for a moment, and that He delights in giving mercy. Some of us do not even show the ones we love mercy, and hold on to grudges until death. He forgives us of our trespasses and pardons our iniquities. The Song of Solomon is a love story that parallels the Bridegroom reality. The woman in the story is the Bride of Christ, and the the man, or Bridegroom is Christ.
Song 5:8
If you find my beloved, That you tell him I am lovesick!
She is asking the Daughter of Jerusalem to tell her beloved if they find Him that she is lovesick for Him. Throughout the entire book it is one long sappy love story, but it pertains to the heart that we need to have for Him and the heart He has for us. Love is riddled throughout the Bible. I am not, repeat am not knocking on women, but the need to live through a love fantasy on a movie worries me. I am not talking about all women, so if that isn't you ignore this. Some women watch these movies that have men whisking women off their feet with luxurious fairy tale plots, and then they use it as a guideline for what they need to happen. I am not saying men should not be chivalrous, or romantic but this fairy tale fantasy has to go. We need to get back to reality and the real world, and understand that these things rarely happen. They get so caught up in what happened in a movie that no man can live up to the expectation that the women have. Enough of that rant, and yet again I am not talking about all women just the few that the rule applies to. The media brainwashes us in to believing in a fantasy world instead of the Bridegroom reality that is a pure love.
As for action I do not even know where to begin. It talks about how Saul killed thousands, but David tens of thousands. David went up against Goliath for one as a young teenage boy. Here there is this army of Israel scared of one man, and a teenager comes in and kills with with a sling and a stone. How much more amazing of a sequence do you need than that. If that isn't "cool" enough for you then think about how Samson killed one thousand men with a jawbone of a donkey (Judges 15:16). In 2 Samuel 23:8-25 it talks about David's mighty men and their great victories. These battles were just a few battles and victories for God, and not for man. Now we watch television with murder spewed all over it. We play video games where we are entertained by killing people just to be entertained for a given time. These things desensitize our Spirits to what God has to say. His word is more entertaining, because even though it speaks of death it pumps out life.
As for the mystery side of entertainment I need to say no more than the mystery is God. Reading through the Word, and searching for revelation and God's personality is the greatest mystery on this earth. Just like all good mysteries there are twists and turns, and in the end the secret is always revealed. If you search for the mystery of God He will take you for a ride, but will always reveal Himself. I wasn't sure how to tie in the science fiction part of entertainment and the God says I am science fact. Genesis alone explains the science side of God. The first chapter of the Word has God creating light, the heavens and the earth, plants, animals, the seas, and of course humans. The first few verses alone could have you entertained for a lifetime alone. I wonder often how He created these things, and how amazing would it to be to watch Him do it. The first verse of Genesis states in the beginning God... If God was in the beginning then where did He begin? He was here before the beginning. If that doesn't blow your mind I do not know what else will. Revelation 4 talks about the throne room of heaven, and that there is a sea of glass, an emerald rainbow around the throne, and that He who sits on the throne shines like a sardius stone. Picture God sitting on His throne with the most beautiful sea of diamond around Him, a rainbow that glows with many facets, and His ambiance Himself shining like a burning stone.
I challenge you to take time out of your "Busy" days, and allow yourselves to be entertained by God. He is truly the greatest entertainer ever to live. He is the one and only living God, and He burns with a passion for each of you. He wants to have a relationship with each of us out of the love He has for us. He wants to be in constant communion with us to share secrets with us.
Daniel 2:47
47 The king answered Daniel, and said, "Truly your God is the God of gods, the Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets, since you could reveal this secret."

God is a reveler of secrets. he wants to show us things.

Amos 3:7
7 Surely the Lord God does nothing, Unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets.

Amos is saying that God does nothing if He doesn't reveal His secrets to us. Please I yearn for you to stop dulling your senses to the wonders of Him. Allow His word and His presence to entertain you instead of stuffing yourselves with goods things. Allow Him to build a relationship with you in that He can reveal the very secrets of His heart. I promise God is  the greatest entertainer if you will only give Him the chance to be with an open heart, and a burning passion of love for Him

Dulled Senses and People Worship

For the past few months I have been really delving into the reality that what I allow myself to see and hear can either enlighten my Spirit or dull my senses. This by no means a new concept, but a new revelation my spirit is grasping. God is beginning to open my eyes to the reality that we live in such a busy high entertainment society we do not realize our eyes and ears are closed off from His voice. We as a nation spend countless hours watching movies, playing video games, surfing the Internet, and listening to music. I believe that if we begin to cut out most of those distractions from our daily lives, focus on hearing God's voice our problems will be solved. I fasted movies and Internet for forty days sometime last year, and in the extra time that was made I spent time with God. He began to open up revelation to me that later changed my life. My spirit was  tune with what God was saying, because I cut out all the other noise that was distracting me from Him. My spiritual eyes began to be opened to the knowledge of God. Ephesians 1:18 talks about the eyes of our understanding being enlightened. Once we get rid of all the traffic that we allow to come in front of our vision our focus becomes clear. We are then able to see what He wants us to do, and we are then to be able to gain revelation of His glory. In Matthew 18:9 is says that if your eyes distracts you from God then to pluck it out, for it is better to have one eye than to be distracted from Him. Saints we need to realize that we allow our senses to be dulled by on infidelity after another on the television and movie screens. Each time we allow these unlawful things to enter our spirit it becomes common, and we drift further from the sensitivity to His voice. We need to begin to pray Psalms 119:18 where it says open my eyes so that I can gaze upon Your wondrous things. We need the wonder and beauty of God restored in us. Corey Russell says, "If you think the newest Hollywood flick is more exciting then Genesis 1:1 then you need revival". I completely agree with that statement. In the beginning God is what it says. Well if God was there in the beginning then where did He start. That is just the wonder and beauty of Him.

The next subject that I have been stuck on is the longing to worship people instead of God. People today are so enamored by what celebrities are doing they lose focus on God. How is the death of a celebrity more important than the death of Christ? We need to stop worshiping these celebrities as idols. It is like when they made the golden calf to worship in the wilderness when Moses when to seek God. The reason we are stuck in the wilderness is, because of our divided worship. These celebrities are just mere men and women that did not die for anything worth celebrating compared to Christ. Christ’s death was the most important death, and is just as relevant today as it was when He died 2000 years ago. We live through these people like we should be living through Christ. He is the ultimate celebrity, but we waste so much of our time finding out what is going on with our favorite celebrity. We are more concerned about their lives than the life of Christ, and the knowledge of Him. It is not to say that we should not mourn for people that die, but never put them before the death of Christ. Their death means nothing compared to the death of Him. He came and shed His blood so that we can abound in grace and mercy. He longs for us to search Him out the same way we do these celebrities. Some people know so much about a certain celebrity they feel they know them on a personal level without even meeting them. We need to know so much about God that we know Him on a personal level. One difference between dead celebrities and Christ is that we can still have a personal relationship with Christ after He died. We were made in His image not Him in our image. Let us burn with a fervent passion for Him. Only desiring to inquire who God is, and what His characteristics are. Let us search out His personality, and the reality of the Bridegroom. Let us be consumed by Him so much that we have dove’s eyes (No peripheral vision) for Him. This is not just a problem out of the church, but inside of it as well. Too many people worship a man or woman in a pulpit instead of God. We need the friend of the Bridegroom reality to come forth. Saints remember that we are made from but mere dust, and what makes us so beautiful is the breath that He breathed into us.

I will end with this...
Psalms 145:3
3 Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; And His greatness is unsearchable.

God is so beautiful and can never receive enough of my praise. There is no limit to His greatness and beauty.
